As a resident of the East Bay most of my life I have traveled 880 north and south about 8543 times and have seen everything from crazy drivers, to CHP, to Big Rigs and alot of miles of fun and alot of miles of terror. Most of my miles were on the VFR. Now I have the Busa. The commuter lane is the best thing to happen but sometimes that is not enough to keep the speeds up to where they need to be.
Then I became a JEDI. Suddenly everything looked Zen like. I didn't fear anything. "Trust the Force" my trainer said. Wave at the cars that are stuck in traffic. Lane splitting became a lesson in smooth. Be stealthy and go swiftly young Skywalker. Anyone violates you, just look through the Dark Shield and stick your tongue at them. They can't see you. If someone gives you the room to get by, give them a friendly gesture of thanks. They probably own a scooter too. Don't mess with the big trucks. They have the ability to make pain.
Rubbernecking is the kiss of death. If you want to see people who suffer more than you, go to a homeless shelter and help those guys with some food or clothes. Don't get mad a people using cell phones. We all do it, and they have saved more lives than caused more accidents. If you have a fast car, drive it fast. If you have a minivan with kids inside, don't drive it like a race car.
That is my story today. It will change. So will I. Thanks.
